A bike ride along the Cuyahoga River

  • Education Conservation (map)

CANCELED

Given the forecast for Sunday--rain and wind--we are canceling the bike trip that had been scheduled for Sunday, 10/19. We'll try again next year!

Come join us for a bike ride along the Cuyahoga River! FoCR Board member (and Cleveland expert) John Kaminski will be our guide on this safe, not-too-strenuous outing. We'll ride through the Industrial Valley north to Lake Erie, and back. Our pace will be leisurely as we make stops to learn about the history of the valley, and to enjoy the spectacular views. We'll use the Towpath Trail for 90% of the riding, with a few short stretches on the street. The trail is mostly flat, although there are several short, steep hills.

We'll meet Sunday, October 19 at 9 a.m. at Steelyard Commons, 3447 Steelyard Dr., Cleveland, OH 44109, in the parking lot by the small Steel Heritage Center building. Click here for directions:
