Join us this Saturday morning as we explore the newest park in the Cuyahoga River watershed!
Kame-Esker Bog Park in Kent just opened in August. It features more than 200 acres of hills, old fields, mature woods, over half a mile of Plum Creek (a tributary of the Cuyahoga), and a high quality sphagnum peat bog. One of the rarer ecosystems in the state, bogs--like the park's namesake kames and eskers--are relics of Ohio's glacial past. We'll explore it all, at a leisurely pace, on the park’s several miles of brand new trails.
Please register for the hike here. (Registering helps us keep track of who's coming, in case we need to cancel.) And of course, this hike is free!
Come join us to stretch your legs, enjoy a bit of fresh air and fall color, and learn how the glaciers of 10,000 years ago shaped the landscape of today!
